Hi,

Some questions...

I have installed succesfully "the Hurd" from the old
tar ball file.

With this new version, how do I install it? I mean is
it like before that I have to do it in Linux. Mount my
hurd partition, untar it and do something set -o,
unmount, then reboot to Hurd using my grub floppy
disk.

Or I'll just unzip and untar it from Linux then reboot
using my configure grub floppy disk automatically?

Or I'll copy it in the running Hurd, where I'll
untar/unzip it there. If this is the case, what else
needs to be done?

By the way guys, what editors are you using? It seems
there's no *vi/m* or *emacs* in the tar ball file even
before?

Also, correct me if I am wrong, if I want to compile a
program which is in "*.tar.gz" (if there is
available), is it the same with the other GNU tools
where I just run ./configure, make and make install?
How about the files that ends with "*.deb"? Is it
"dpkg -i somefile.deb".

Lastly, how do I mount a floppy or a CD-ROM from the
Hurd? Do I have to use some translator? How do I use
it?

Thanks for your help guys. Though, I'm not good with
programming, I like the idea and design of the Hurd
now, actually, I just love it.

Thanks in advance.
