There's a big difference between compiling things such that they are
compiled with a  modern gcc and C library, adhere to the FSSTND/FHS,
and are normally difficult to remove and this.  These are *one* file
each.  Many packages are dozens, hundreds, maybe thousands of files,
making removal a lot more difficult.  What's so hard about removing
one file?
