squake not working

Hi all!

I am having a few problems  :-(

Am I right in saying that my Neomagic video card should be able to
play games such as squake in standard VGA mode? Whenever I try to
run squake I get

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

although I can't find a core anywhere. How do I set this up?
